BAMnet engineers multi-radio/frequency nodes to achieve sustained broadband speeds spanning dozens of nodes (hops) in the network build.

BAMnet's core product, building a wireless network in your town, is centered around either you or your town's government becoming a network operator. Our innovative approach is designed to provide a turnkey network using commercial Wi-Fi nodes with low cost of entry. To get started simply purchase one of our radio nodes and install at a location in your town. For a larger network (more then one node), multi-radio nodes will be required in order to support sustained broadband speeds.

BAMnet Mesh Nodes:
Each node supports 802.11b/g (2.4GHz) hot spot features. Multi-radio nodes also support 802.11a (5.8GHz) for back haul (connecting nodes together).
single radio box (2.4GHz)
Insertion Point. Intended for a single hot spot in an outdoor location. Coverage is approximately 1,000 foot radius for standard Wi-Fi connections.

two radio box (2.4GHz / 5.8GHz)
Insertion Point. Intended as the main insertion point for a several square mile, multi node network build-out. Hot Spot coverage is up to 1,000 foot radius per node. High-speed back haul coverage is up to 10 miles between nodes, in clear line-of-sight conditions. Use of high-gain antennas is required.

three radio box (2.4GHz / 5.8GHz / 5.8GHz)
Network Extender. Intended as primary back haul in a multi node network build-out. Hot Spot coverage is up to 1,000 foot radius per node. High-speed back haul coverage is up to 10 miles between nodes, in clear line-of-sight conditions. Use of high-gain antennas is required. In situations where the network is not intended for further build-out (future expansion), a two radio node can be used.

BAMnet Customer Premise Equipment (CPE):
For home or office locations outside of the 1,000ft hot spot radius, a small CPE box can be used to receive the BAMnet network signal. Depending on line-of-sight conditions, CPE can reach back to Wi-Fi nodes at up to 1 mile distance.
single radio CPE (2.4GHz)
Intended to receive Wi-Fi node signal at up to 1 mile. CPE can be switched between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz depending on line-of-sight conditions.

two radio CPE (2.4GHz / 5.8GHz)
Intended to receive Wi-Fi node signal at up to 1 mile, and rebroadcast Wi-Fi hotspot supporting up to 1,000ft radius. CPE can be switched between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz back hual depending on line-of-sight conditions.

The Wi-Fi Web Community:

    - Community Splash Page -

As BAMnet's Wi-Fi feature is enabled, the landing page people connect to is designed around a web community concept. Those who connect have free access to local weather, local street maps, local transportation, local schools, town government, as well as any business or town related website that you choose to be part of the community model. When users try to browse outside of your local web community, they are prompted to pay for access.
